Farmington Hills Ice Arena will use the prepaid swipe cards for the Fall/Winter figure skating sessions. Instead of prepaying, and registering for specific sessions, we will use a swipe card system. This system will allow you to use your card for any of our skating sessions during the 38 week period.

The Prepaid Swipe Card System will take the place of Prepaid Registration. With this system, you will no longer have to select the specific sessions you will attend and will avoid the need to add/drop sessions. This system will allow you to receive the Prepaid rates as well as the flexibility of selecting which sessions you attend.

In order to participate and receive the prepaid benefits and rates, you must make a minimum purchase of $304 (Farmington Hills Resident) or $342 (Non-Resident). This is the equivalent of one (1) 50 minute session per week for 38 weeks. Additional sessions may be purchased at the prepaid rate as needed.

While the new Swipe Card system does not require you to select specific sessions, our system is set up to deduct visits, rather than dollar amounts. This will require you to decide whether you will attend hour sessions, ½ hour sessions, or some combination of both. You may select any combination as long as the total dollar amount is equivalent, or higher, to the minimum $304 – resident/$342 – non-resident. Many of you will know exactly what your plans are, while others may have a general idea. We will allow reasonable adjustments to your original application at no additional charge.

The $304/$342 fee may be paid in full with your original application or you may split the payments. If you choose to split the payments, the first half will be due no later than September 4, 2009. The second half will be due no later than December 4, 2009. If you split your payment, only visits actually paid for will be available on the card. No additional invoices or reminders will be sent.

Please note that by registering for the Prepaid Swipe Card and its reduced rates, you agree to the minimum requirement for the 38 week session. This minimum is non-negotiable and is required to receive the discounted prepaid rates.

In addition to this prepaid option, you will still have the ability to Drop-in and pay the drop-in rates during the 38 week session.
